I’d love for you to contribute a guest post to Authentic Luxury Travel.

I welcome well-researched articles from readers who want to write about a destination or a recent travel experience. Topics will vary, but should be helpful to others who visit Authentic Luxury Travel.

This site is all about sharing ways to go beyond the ordinary tourist hotels and attractions and experience a destination’s true nature. “Luxury” often means personal service in very comfortable surroundings, but it can also be unique access to a special place (a way to see Machu Pichu without a crowd) or a hole-in-the-wall café with amazing food.

Take a look at other guest posts on this site. Maggie Espinosa’s piece on Pet-Friendly Paris is a good example. I also really like Daira Paulson’s guest post on Palau. And Connie Turvey’s article about Guatemala. 

Check with me before you start writing, so we agree that the topic is appropriate. I think it goes without saying that a story about an ordinary cruise ship experience or a big group tour would not qualify as “appropriate” since authentic luxury travelers don’t travel in a herd.

Read this before you contribute a guest post

The ideal guest post is 600-900 words long and includes at least four good horizontal photos with captions. Please send photos with captions in jpg format as attached files. Please send the text as a Word doc (not PDF, Google doc, etc). Please do not embed the photos in your Word document. I can only publish photos that you took or have been given specific permission to use.

I will only publish original content. Please don’t submit an article that has appeared on another web site. Likewise, don’t send images from Google Images or a similar source.

Your post can include one link back to your web site or the site of a travel business, but no blatant promotion. Unless otherwise arranged, all links will appear as no-follow.

Also, please note that I don’t accept “sponsored posts” (my opinion isn’t for sale).
